Nick Gaggiano - Head Coach
Coach Nick has been involved in swimming for over 35 years as both a swimmer and a coach. Nick grew up in Chicago, Illinois swimming and playing water polo for the Chicago Park District and Mount Carmel High School. Nick went on to play water polo and study communications at Iona College in New Rochelle, NY. Coach Nick began coaching summer league swimming at Wykagyl Country before moving into year round coaching at Gael Aquatic Club and then later at Badger Swim Club. In 2007 Nick jumped at the opportunity to move back to Chicago and coach the Senior and Developmental groups for Chicago Wolfpack Aquatic Club. During his time at CWAC Coach Nick developed multiple Junior Nationals qualifiers and Illinois Age Group and Senior State Champions. Nick also was the program director for the Wolfpack Swim School, a swim lesson program for kids ages 6 months to 12 years old. In 2019 Nick relocated to Boise and has since been working for Idaho Competitive Aquatics to bring the Greater Boise Aquatics Centre to completion and has been providing private coaching to swimmers in the Treasure Valley.
Jeff Erwin - Coach Owner
Boise, Idaho native. Graduated from Boise High in 1982. Swam for the Boise Y Swim Team. 4 time YMCA National Champion (1650 2x, 500 free, 400 IM), 2 time Junior National Champion (800 free, 1500 free). Swam for the University of California-Berkeley. 2 time NCAA All American in the 1650. United States National Team member from 1986-1988. Competed in the 1986 Goodwill Games in Moscow, Russia.
Coached summer league (Boise Racquet and Swim Club, Crane Creek) during college summers. Coached Strawberry Canyon Aquatic Masters – Berkeley, CA in 1987-1988. Coached Sawtooth Masters in Boise Idaho for 20+ years beginning in 1989. Was an assistant coach with the Boise YMCA Swim Team off and on over 30 years until 2019. Coached High School (Capital High Head Coach 1989, 1990), (Boise High Assistant Coach 1998, 1999. Head Coach 2012 to present). Boise High has won 16 State Team Championships since 2012.
Works as a self-employed CPA. Married to wife, Ann. 2 daughters, Abbey and Maggie.
